That was a legit dominant defensive performance.
Houston may not be the team they were last year, but holding them to 91 points is outstanding.

Definitely one of those games that passes both the eye test and stats, I don't know if I have ever seen a wolves team give that kind of relentless effort on D! RoCo definitely looking like defensive player of the year so far!

2nd half effort from the Pups was phenomenal.
They played with a chip on their shoulders after a frustrating first half.
Great to see Wiggins and Saric get on track. Probably best games of year thus far for both.
I actually rewatched 3rd quarter, and I never rewatch. Best win in long time for this franchise. Very emotional beating team that killed us in playoffs last year.
Getting very excited about long term potential of our youngish core.....Tyus, Wiggs,Cov,Homie,Towns, Okg

One sentence summarizes everything:
Houston was held to 29 in the entire second half; 20 points in the 3rd, 9 in the 4th.
Idc how far back Houston has fallen this year, a team of shooters coached by D'Antoni and ran by last year's MVP and one of the best point guards of our era (not to mention it's the team that smoked us in the first round last year), holding them to those kinds of numbers.. That's more than just having an off night for Houston. We were on a whole other level tonight

Teague actually took back-to-back 3s in rhythm! I know the Rockets were keying in on DRose - but it was still shocking to me how wide open Teague was on those DRose passes. It reminded me of how teams basically ignored Rubio or Tyus on the perimeter - and just dared them to shoot

Good to see Wiggins play rather well and break out of his funk a bit.
Great defensive lockdown in the second half. That was legit NBA defense.

Wow, what a great game. Seven 3-pointers in the 3rd quarter, including two big ones by everyone's most despised player, Jeff Teague. This team shows some real grit, and they're really fun to watch.

KAT on the energy among the team during their run in the second half:
“We’ve got so much love for each other. We just kept trying to tell each other, we’re going to grind ourselves back into this game and when we did it, we’re just coming back to the huddles every single time about don’t let them score, don’t let anyone score. If they’re going to make a bucket, make them have to hit something that’s tremendously hard. We did a great job in those minutes making everything very difficult. Realizing the mistakes we made through the game and capitalizing on them in the fourth.”
RoCo on the discussion in the locker room at halftime:
“We already knew what our game plan was that we had to fix before [Thibodeau] came in. We were talking about it. They got a lot of transition threes, they had more rebounds than us, and also Capela was having too good of a game and we had to shut that down. He was running and they were finding him in transition, so we talked about that and then our coverages and everything were a lot better in the second half.”

They've started to do a really cool postgame thing at Canis. Right after the game, Eric throws up a quick recap post, and then late night John puts up one with all the quotes and video clips of the players comments. Its great stuff. *WARNING* I am not in any way responsible if you develop a "man crush" on Covington.... www.canishoopus.com/2018/12/4/18121719/the-wolf-nightcap-vol-3

Sucks that Thibs will get credit but zippola for Covington.

What a great recap. Towns may be the team leader but Covington is the energy leader. What a pair these two are going to be.

What I love most about the statlines from last night is that while nobody put up gaudy numbers, everyone on the team besides Rose and Saric had at least one steal or a block (Wiggins registering 3 blocks, Towns with 3 steals and a block, RoCo 2 steals 2 blocks, Tyus 3 steals). We're finding chemistry as a team.. The west better watch out.
