Both my boys are home and are going to the game. Honest to god, if neither play, or if LeBron doesnt play...My rep will hear about it and I will find out how to contact the league. I get it that this is "normal" (both questionable) but its still frustrating.
The solution: You can only rest a player at home. Next: if a player (maybe only "stars") are going to miss a game on the road: automatic they have to miss 3 games. While I know its not fair, especially if a player has a minor injury and its a day to day thing, I feel like the league is ignoring the ticket buying public. We have had 14 home games so far. This is who we've missed:
Jimmy Butler Zion Williamson Joel Embiid Tyrese Haliburton Lebron James Luca Doncek
I can guarantee you that at least for my season ticket group, these games were "drafted" because of the stars and the team. I feel bad for people who buy single game tickets particularily to see a "star". Britt Robson had a tweet today saying essentially "its your own fault if you buy a ticket and expect to see a particular player". That is SO wrong in so many ways. First off: Tiered pricing for one based on who your playing. Second: the league markets its "stars". So buy a ticket to see the star we are marketing...but he may not play. Bullshit.

I would send that list to the league regardless through your rep or elsewhere.
So, so different if you are going to games for free.

As an off and on season ticket holder, I completely understand the frustration. Brit is right though. I agree that it's awful to market these games the way they do given how guys rest through minor injuries, but it's not like it's not a known thing. What's the incentive for teams to change as long as the tickets sell and the money flows? It's crap, but until people stop buying tickets to these games, it probably won't change.

Money talks. I'm of the mind that the public needs to put pressure on the TV networks to actually make a change. The national TV money is huge and if the networks said they want a discount on broadcast rights unless back to backs are eliminated, they might actually be able to make something happen. The national games aren't B2B anyway, but asking for that in general would require fewer games and increase chances that star players would be healthy for televised games.
The reason for not decreasing the number of overall games is obvious, but if the league is comparing making less in TV money it could offset the loss of some ticket revenue and lost local TV money.

Its a great point about the TV money. I dont know what % of income teams get is TV vs ticket sales. I honestly dont know that this is known well enough in the general public that its going to affect ticket sales .....yet. Unfortunatly it will take a few more years of this crap before Joe Q public ticket buyer will not cough up the dough. While I "could" try to make my point and cancel my season tickets, I'm not going to because of the seats I have. (I think there is one other place in the arena that has seats like mine: lower bowl, no seats in front of you and lots of leg room.). I've kept these seats even through the Kahn years (worse than players not playing) because I'd never get them back. I'll keep them until they get the new stadium and then I'm done. I will be priced out anyway at that point. All this doesnt mean that I can request that the league look for change. But I truly am yelling at the clouds at this point.

KAT has not looked right since his injury. If anyone should’ve missed a game or two, it’s him.
Thank goodness we have Naz.

At least he took 2 - 3 point shots. Halftime: watched Conley come back into the game at the end there and it appeared that he was supposed to come in for Ant..and Ant wouldnt come out. My boys at the game texted me and said "Finch was HOT as they left the floor!".

Not really the mature approach we're looking for. 12 TOs in first half after Finch called out the unserious play after last game isn't great.

Jaden. What in the world? That T was just stupid.
Instead of improving on the fouling, he's gotten worse. He simply can't play without fouling and I'm really worried it's unfixable.
KAT can't play without fouling either. We're super careless with the ball, but KAT adding 1-2 TOs via offensive fouls doesn't help.
Ant, Naz and Conley won us the game.

What a great win. Great game too.
I have to say and I've thought a lot about this....
I've seen everybody since Wilt and Bill Russell and Michael Jordan's whole career.
I'm coming to believe LeBron is the greatest NBA player I've ever seen and that includes Jordan. He is Jordan but bigger and a better shooter. Jordan is the greatest defender of all time but Lebron is just a smidge behind.
He's been in the league 20 years and he's still killing it. The guy is amazing.

As I've been saying for a bit now, McD maybe is not untouchable now in our salary issues. But i'm still on the "Trade KAT" side when it comes to doing something if we absolutely have to do something. He quite simply is not giving us enough consistently.

I want to go back to that T by McD. That is simply unforgivable and if the wolves can suspend him a game for stupidity...they need to do it. This simply can not happen.
On the flip side...WTF was Finch doing not at least challenging that last foul on McD. You cant take it with you and use it next game.

Jaden was showing his hands, but clearly got him with body. That's the thing I worry about with Jaden. I think you can learn to avoid fouling with your arms and hands. Body position defensively is harder. Look at KAT. Almost all of KAT's defensive fouls are about body position and it's something he can't fix even after all these years.

What a great win. Great game too. I'm glad we won, but I found this one discouraging nonetheless. This season has been so enjoyable. Our success has made us want more though. We have that kind of talent. Tonight really hit home for me though that this team has a huge problem with BBIQ. Conley and Anderson are really our only 2 high BBIQ players and Anderson is really struggling offensively. Jaden and KAT are awful at avoiding fouls among other things. Ant is good for several tunnel vision possessions and a couple of bad passes/lost dribbles a game. Naz has 1-2 out of control plays a game. Rudy still embarrasses himself regularly trying to do things clearly outside his skill set (like lead the break). These things can be overcome in the regular season, but I'm afraid it'll be too much in the playoffs when rotations tighten. Other teams will shorten their rotations cutting out lower IQ and lesser talented guys, but for us those shorter rotations don't diminish our faults as our top guys are the ones with the warts.

Was at the game. First of all, Target Center was electric. Full house. Really has become a fun environment.
Second, holy crap the refs tried as hard as they could to give the Lakers that game. 26-15 in fouls in favor of LA. I know for a fact that we did not commit 11 more fouls than the Lakers.
Next, wtf is this offense? The turnovers have become a MAAAJOR issue. This is a completely different game if we’re not giving away the ball left and right. Everyone was to blame too. Just absolutely unacceptable.
KAT just doesn’t look right. He’s been off for a while and tonight he was just ineffective. The foul trouble has come back and it’s hurting us when KATs not able to contribute.
Jaden… WTF was he thinking getting a technical at the end of the game?!?! He turned that from a 2 possession game to a 1 possession game and he’s DAMN lucky that LeBron 2 was not ruled a 3. Speaking of… I saw LeBron posted something on instagram of “his truth” of what happened. It was ruled a 2, reviewed, and still determined to be a 2. Pretty sure with the way the refs called the game, they would have given it to him if there was enough evidence.
Fun game to be at but man, this offense has to figure it out and soon. The turnover problem is the first thing that needs to be addressed.

What you say is true. No team is perfect though. We are clearly a work in progress....but we're still winning! That says much about us.
Tonight the officiating was brutal again. The problem is they don't call it the same way for both teams.
Towns is hurt and not the same doesn't help. McD is worse than Towns on fouls.
The biggest problem tonight was turnovers. I think we had 19?
I think the staff has a good handle on what's going on and they'll fix it. Much different than last year. let's hope for the best.
We're a long way off from the playoffs so let's worry about our problems today in the middle of March. Remember we're a work in progress.

Ant showing a ton of maturity: Do we see that kind of maturity from Towns addressing his fouling issues? Or the fact that he had 5 turnovers? Yeah, maybe I'm not being fair to Karl, but he's making north of 50 million dollars next year. I expect more.

I missed the game, might throw it on this morning but according to my points tracker, Naz had 21.
The one thing I know about points tracking, is if you remove a player from the equation, there’s no way anyone else would score. But that could also be false? Good to hear Naz had a game again tho.
Sounds like Kat should have def sat last three games, so what are we doing?

I do think they have the talent to level up, and over 82 games not particularly worried about some waxing and waning. Ant has leveled up end of season and playoffs each year. No team stays locked in for an entire season, but the fact we can dip a little, and still be pretty good is a nice sign.

As far as IQ and “stickiness” also am confident will lean into what works, and our new offensive coordinate will step it up come playoff time, versus this regular season fluff where they get so bogged down.

I had this game pegged as a potential loss but was overall impressed with the win against a Laker team that was throwing everything at them. They definitely have some things to figure out and the deal with KAT is frustrating. But they are grinding it out in a tough stretch. It’s going to be a night in night out grind until all star break but the schedule does turn in their favor after the next six games. Kind of in awe that they are actually 24-7!

Just watched, I thought it was a great game.
Lakers D now they are going big to start is legit, made things tough for Minnesota Mike. If Kat and McD stay out of foul trouble I think we see true Dire Wolves lineup. There are going to be games where foul trouble or quick fouls happen, great to see Wolves still able to win when that happens.
Wolves really do have everything they need, I believe in regards to some pokey O when teams pack the paint on Ant, Wolves know what they can do in those scenarios, they just aren’t doing it every quarter of every game in the regular season. It can’t just be we’re screwed without Mike. I would still like to see a game we have to close without him.
LeBron is amazing, and glad Kings and others that paid finally got to catch him amazingly still near his peak. Really fun game, Knicks should be too, hopefully OG can go.
