We're down by 12 with 7 min to go, make a remarkable comeback to down 2, now turn it over to down 7 with 1:27 left.

Poor Tyus is playing his way right out of this league. I hate to see it. Yep. He did finally show a bit of life in the 2nd half. But he shot 2 for 8 and had +/- of negative 20 in 25 minutes of play.

Tough one to lose.
Can't fire the players but you can fire the coach. Pretty please. Did I ask nice enough Glen?
After 43 minutes last game Butler plays 41 tonight. Towns played 40 tonight. 39 and 19 for KAT.
33 is the most minutes played by a Sac. player. The multiple turnovers we had late maybe due to exhaustion.
Kings are a fun team to watch.

Take KAT's 15/27 out of the equation and the Wolves shot 24/67 (35.8%) and were 5/20 on 3's.
Butler looked like trash out there.
Taylor can't sell soon enough.

I fell asleep, everything went swimmingly it appears.
But honestly, we are one of the five worst teams in the league this year. That does not mean we don't have talent, but we are a really bad team. Poorly coached, no chemistry, and really poor construction of a team roster and scheme in the modern game. The plus side to all of this is, we really need a true 2nd star that fits with KAT on a rookie contract if we are going to have to pay Wiggins the max for the next five years. We have no avenue to being a good team without that, and we may need two of those level guys over the next two drafts just to be a playoff team in the West.
Making the playoffs last year will likely go down as one of the great unintended consequences in this franchises history. We lost a lottery pick to get cleared out of the playoffs in 5 games and that is where the Butler and Thibs era Wolves will have peaked. If Michael Porter turns into a player, that's going to be tough to stomach since the Nuggets appear to have a really bright future even without him.

We need either a Whiteside type and move Towns to PF or get a big PF who can rebound like crazy. Dennis Rodman type.
I love Taj Gibson but he's just not big enough next to Towns. Recently I mentioned Nerlens Noel as a guy who fits that. We do have plenty of talent but we are a terrible team. Coach!!
The other thing is our bench is being outscored nightly by 15 a game it seems. The starters are playing too many minutes because the coach has no confidence in the bench.
If only Josh could shoot??? I'd spend any amount to get him a shooting coach and get extra shots up every day. The kid has most everything else.

I keep thinking of Whiteside. I know Whiteside has issues....but if his head is in the right place he would be the perfect defender to put next to Kat. I like Kat's effort on defense and the boards this year (way better than last year) but there is no way he can handle playing major minutes and trying to shoulder our interior defense and rebounding by himself as well as being the focal point of our offense. I think we're already starting to see Kat get a bit tired in the 2nd half of these games. I'm still trying to think through how much Whiteside would harm Kat's post up game on the offensive side. Really don't want Kat to sit on the 3 point line and shoot 3's all game and never post up.

One change I'd like to see Thibs try while Teague is out - is starting Tyus. Our offense just grinds to a halt when Tyus is out there with the 2nd unit. I like our chances to score better having DRose create offense for himself while out there with the 2nd unit. At this point, I'd still play DRose the lion share of minutes over Tyus - but maybe playing with our starters for a few minutes would get Tyus back in a good space.
Seems we have/had too many guys that seem to play well when given big minutes but they aren't able to figure out a roll for themselves when they come off the bench. Tyus played pretty decently when he started last year. His defensive effort (much better than Teague's) really helped the starters and we could hide his offensive challenges when he was out there with Kat, Wiggins, & Butler. Belly was another guy that played great when he played major minutes. And G Dieng played at a much higher level two years ago when he started all 82 games.

Perhaps for the first time ever I am cheering for the other team to win in my heart. That is how bad it has become and how bad I want Thibs out! Been this way since they didn't trade Butler. A forward thinking FO would start calling teams and proposing all types of trades but we don't have that so we sit and suck.

Tyus is a complementary guy who would work better with primary guys around him. The phrase "only 1 ball" comes to mind. Start Tyus and let Teague and Rose dominate the 2nd unit. They'd provide the scoring our 2nd unit lacks.
