Taylor basically said as much after the trade. Thibs gets a "reset" right now, but he clearly expects better results than last year. as you posted above, taylor's expectations are that they improve, and that likely includes making the playoffs again. I just dont think thibs is fired if he fails to meet that expectation this year. the money is too much for taylor to swallow. if we miss the playoffs, thibs will be scolded for failing to meet expectations, but will have another year to correct the situation. Who knows. Taylor has definitely shown himself to let finances dictate coaching changes in the past with the Rambis fiasco.
