He night not have sexy boxscores, but Dieng has played pretty great since the trade as well.

They originally had Minnesota at -4.5 which I read they were projected to loss by that much. Not into the gambling thing so I could have read that wrong. Ah, I see where your problem was. A minus in betting actually means the favorite. Its like a handicap to normalize betting. If bets were just straight wins and losses people would make a killing only betting on huge favorites. The point spread makes all the difference in the world. Wolves (-4.5) are the 4.5-point favorite which means they would need to win the game by five points or more to win the bet. Conversely, the Spurs (+4.5) are a 4.5-point underdog which means they would need to win or not lose the game by more than four points to win the bet. Remind me never to bet money unless it's house money. :) So sad I missed this game. Got home and saw the blow out score.

Okogie in with 10 minutes to go. Your killing me dude. The one game I miss and Okogie is in and killing it. Right now we get a solid PG and a different head coach and we have a really really good team.

That 2nd quarter was a thing of beauty. The whole game really, but that defense...wow!

When Thibs finally sat down on the bench, he was probably envisioning playing Okogie, Covington and Towns together some day, and how Wiggins is expendible.
I know I was.
More specifically, I was dreaming about Tyus, Okogie, RoCo, Saric, Towns.

Right now we get a solid PG and a different head coach and we have a really really good team. It was so much fun. After a crappy end to the 1st quarter that saw our lead cut to 3, we started the 2nd with Tyus/Rose/RoCo/Saric/Dieng. And that group just rolled the Spurs and didn't look back. The 3 point lead became 18 before Thibs subbed anyone out 6 minutes later.

If we would play Teague in the "Lou Williams" role, I'd absolutely love him:

Taj: "Its not just Covington, I think Dario is the same way. He's been phenomenal. You gotta understand that he can score the ball, like he can put it on the floor. Both of them are similar. We just gotta give Dario more minutes."

Even with the big win, Thibs gonna Thibs...
Manny Hill@MannyHill84 Jonny K asks Thibs about the energy Okogie played with when he came in... Thibs immediately cites the team giving up 31 points in the 4th quarter of a game they won by 39

It's becoming apparent that the team won't play for Thibs but they will play for each other.
I love how teammates are encouraging more minutes for others. Of course this falls on deaf ears.

Surely there is a logic in his own mind, but it is surely not "try something different if it doesn't work".

I didn't want to bring negativity to what was such a fun game, but one of these times, this stuff is going to lead to an injury.

The thing I'm happiest about with the Butler trade is our style of ball has changed so much. We have good ball movement now. Jimmy isn't featured anymore so everybody gets touches. We are now a team that's fun to watch.
This new improved team chemistry seems genuine. Hopefully Thibs won't find a way to diminish that.

It really should not be hard to find minutes for Okogie.
Rose's body can't handle the current minute load. He's already missed a couple games from being dinged up and if you look at him on the bench, he is ("constantly applying rollers, massagers, stretching and hydrating" --Dane Moore). Teague is also not 100% and has openly campaigned for less minutes. Wiggins doesn't deserve the full load of minutes he gets, and Covington should probably be playing less (he's only played more than 70 games in a season one time), And Okogie can hold down the defensive fort for the few extra minutes RoCo sits.
