"Anthony Edwards’ (MIN) technical foul at 1:15 of the 3rd quarter on 5/4/24 (vs. DEN) has been rescinded upon league office review."
But the question is: what would they do if we lost the game by 1 point? easy for them to rescind a tech that turns out was meaningless to the outcome. We lose the game by 1 point they dont rescind the tech.

I see delusional hopes started to creep in peoples minds... these are the NBA standing champs we are talking about here! On their own court! At high altitude! The game after they lost home court advantage! They haven't lost consecutive games at home in ages... beating them again is probably going to be as easy as cancelling an eclipse! They will come out firing like crazy! If MIN fall behind early, the game will be really hard to turn around! Fans will be rabid. If you thought the refs were rough last time, you might be surprised tonight... the league has very interest in extending these series as long as possible! DEN will not go down 0-2 at home! Let's hope no significant injuries and/or suspensions happen tonight! MIN's small hope would be to keep the game close until the second half of the fourth quarter and then try to steal it somehow (assuming they still have five players who haven't fouled out up to that point). OT might be a thing tonight... and that might not be a good thing if you are a MIN fan! I dont think its delusional at all to think that Minnesota can win tonight. That said...I think its unlikely they do. For the reason you stated. However, Murrays injury may be worse than we realize and if he's still hampered...that hurts them a lot. Here's what I want to see: Ant get teammates involved in the first half. Keep his scoring for 2nd half. Get confidence in our guys and make Denver defend them. Then Ant can go all Super nova Ant on them in 2nd half. If we get down by more than 10 we are in trouble though.

Rudy probably out for birth of child tonight. Cant blame him for missing. More important things in life than basketball.
(But .....I'd ask why his girlfriend wasnt induced prior today...but thats just me.) Unfortunate circumstances but understandable. If we can pull off a win tonight without Rudy it would really take the wind out of Denvers sails.

Game 1 ant got off to a great start and ALL his teammates were very timid. He read the room and kept them in the game knowing they'd relax sooner or later. When they did, he wasn't getting/keeping them involved. That's what superstars do, they know what their teams need from them and when. I never thought I'd like another twolf more than KG - I just loved his passion - but he couldn't carry the offense like ant can. Could you image if ant and prime KG played together? One of them would set the single season record for technical fouls!

You will not be able to keep me from watching the game... after all there is always a chance, however small! To put it in perspective, I think it is twice more likely for MIN to be swept the rest of the way by DEN than it is for them to win game 2. Assuming good health and fair refereeing for the rest of the series, both events come with really low probabilities, but when compared to each other is when the comparison is significant. However, if Rudy is out, this becomes a "no bets accepted" situation.

However, if Rudy is out, this becomes a "no bets accepted" situation. Statistically, that doesn't seem even close to accurate. What "really low" % chance are you giving the Wolves to win tonight? I found a stat that teams going down 0-1 have a 15.6% chance to win the series in 5, but I'm guessing most of those winners had games 3 and 4 at home. Obviously it's most likely that Denver wins tonight and that was even before we found out Rudy is likely out, but it's not that unlikely that the Wolves win.

Its called being a Minnesota sports fan. Its in our blood. I am being torn between the need to watch playoff basketball and my civic duty to prepare for, and attend fishing opener related activities... if the Timberwolves make it a habit to play this late into the season, the DNR will need to move the date of the fishing opener...

Ha Ha. For petes sake...its Monday. What do you have to get ready for a Saturday opener that cant be done Tue-Friday? Are you making your lures from scratch? I'm jealous though. Love fishing. My folks had a place on the Mississippi and we used to go bass fishing all the time. Hopefully I can get back to fishing some day.

After a game 1 won, I really like the wolves chances of taking the series. Denver's bench is thin. As Reggie Miller stated, their lack of shooting off the bench makes it difficult to play some of those guys together. I've read that Murray is walking with a limp, but nobody cared last year when the wolves were down McD & Naz, so too bad for the Nuggs.
If Rudy doesn't go tonight (sounds like his son was born this morning but he might not be able to make it to Denver in time for the game), KAT will have 2 fouls in the first 6 minutes. We might have a Garza sighting.

Am I missing something in the rules book? Jokic in particular, but many others get away with push offs to clear space again and again. Jokic does it nearly every time he tries to clear space. I thought extending the off arm in the push was the unacceptable part. But they don't get called. In general, the wolves don't do that, at least to the extent Denver does, probably because they don't get away with it. No, you're not missing anything. Kat gets called for it every time even if it's minor! Jokic gets away with most everything except when he forearm ejects a player into the first row. What does that tell you?

I can't blame Rudy for wanting to be there.
No worries! We'll just throw Luka out there against Joker! :) They are equally slow. Luka might do as well against him as anybody else and can give away 6 fouls.
I just hope we take care of the ball, shoot a decent percentage and defend like hell! If we do we'll be just fine.

We're conditioned over the years to lose.
We have a solid chance of winning tonight if we don't beat ourselves.

You've got to admit not even the most rabid homers wouldn't have anticipated this result knowing Gobert will be out. This game was an outlier from so many angles. Refereeing alone was something I haven't seen in 25+ years. Flashes of Malone/Stockton trampling over people... had this game been called as a regular season ticky-tack, phantom fouls ridden affair, the result would have been (not just slightly) different. It is possible the league thought they owed one to MIN after all the one-sided calls in game 1, and the embarrassing apology on the rescinded T... Regardless of the reasons, I am happy i lived the day MIN was on the winning end of a game like this. I will happily eat a whole murder of crows every time they defy logic with performances like this... bring it on!
