Bogdanovich is just wearing out Rose. Yep. Big size advantage and Bog is turning into a really nice player. I'd love to have him.

51 bench points for us. We have to win these games. Saric has 18 Taj has 6. Teague with a miserable 6. Hard to believe it's back to 9.

Teague can't even take an open 3 without pumpfaking or hesitating first...

Defensive rebounding killed us down the stretch. Yep. It has all year. KAT needs to improve there and Gorgui is hopeless.

The bench last night was -48 combined (oof). Tyus was -16, Dieng -10
Teague was awful on offense outside of generating assists.
We need new point guards.

Tyus should be the starter. We all know this except stubborn former Bulls coaches. Teague should be off the bench. Taj should not be starting. We all know this except for Mr Stubborn. There should be an 11 man rotation. We know this, Mr Stubborn doesn't. Okogie should be getting some run with Rose as the bench. Mr Stubborn is so so so in love with his former players he can't see the forest for the trees. I'm preaching to the choir about this but it's infuriating. Personally hoping they lose their next 10 games so Thibs is fired and we get a real coach.

With this group, I don't agree with this. Playing 11 for the sake of playing 11 just because we *think* it's a magic elixir isn't going to make us better.
Based on his play for large chunks of the season, I'm not sure I agree that he *deserves* starting. He's better than Teague but it doesn't mean I want him out there playing 30 minutes a night.
I agree Taj and Teague shouldn't start. I don't agree that Tyus is the answer at point guard (he isn't)...he's a backup. He can be a good backup but he's not a guy who is a NBA caliber starter on a playoff team.
If we're going to make the playoffs, it isn't with this group...and I've been consistent in stating that we need to get better fit pieces in the backcourt, which would free up minutes for Okogie. We also need to get rid of either Dieng or Taj. If Taj is staying, he backs up KAT and at this point, I think he'd be ok with it.

If we don't start Teague then Rose and Tyus are your only other options. Should Rose start, the offense will run through him and everything we've done after the Butler trade will be worthless. Just look at the Portland game. Tyus should be the starter if Teague isn't starting. He is a facilitator and I would argue he's the third best defender on the team behind Covington and Okogie. He is exactly what we need in the starting lineup. I have a hard time believing that we will find a Teague trade since he is such a cancer on the court since he pounds the air out of the ball and plays matador defense. I think teams have been taking note of that. And given that they have noted this, they will REALLY not want to take on his 19 mil per year with a PO next year. Tyus should be the starting PG on the team.

I think we should get Cory Joseph and start him and then send Teague and Tyus packing in separate deals. Rose takes over the backup point and you have someone around to back him up (young guy...)
Tyus is not good enough to be a full time starting point guard on a playoff team based on his play this season. He's the best point guard on this roster *right now* but that does not mean he *should* be starting.
I like Tyus but I don't think his play this year warrants him starting and I also don't think he's coming back regardless of Thibs staying or being fired. So you might as well deal him.

My biggest concern right now is RoCo's knee is clearly bothering him, and I expect Thibs to keep playing him until he's really injured.

Maybe it caught me the right way this morning. Succinct and appropriate.
I remember Teague making just one solid, confident play last night on a drive to the basket late in the game. That's it. He really hurt us. I'm not so down on Rose as others but you can't play Teague and Rose together. How Mr. Stubborn hasn't realized that by now is beyond me.
Tyus is in a funk. He's got to pick it up.
Last night was a perfect example of the Wolves being out-efforted. If that's a word. We were lazy getting back and defending the 3. Lazy! We made our run late with superb effort which shows we can do it when we want to. We just don't want to often enough. That's why you need to pull lazy ineffectual players early, and get a high energy guys like Okogie in there to give us a shot in the arm. Good things happen when Okogie is in there. Tolliver could help there too. Find the right combination of players.
Mr Stubborn actually subbed players at the 5:40 mark of the 1st period when he usually does at the 3:30 mark. Mr Stubborn needs to be more "Quick Hook" Thibs.

“I have a coach who is trusting me,” Bjelica told The Athletic after a 141-130 victory over the Timberwolves on Wednesday night. “He knows how to use me. Not just me, he knows how to use everybody on this team. We have a great atmosphere, great group of guys. It’s the NBA. Everything is about opportunity in this league.”

I'm happy for Bjelly.
Thibs can't possibly understand that because players aren't human, they're jock straps.

Its what Thibs does. Just like he never bothered to tell Tolliver he was out of the rotation after the Butler trade.

I think Tyus would be a solid starter given time and a different coach. Heck Teague may even be serviceable with a different coach. Same with the 11 man rotation. I don't need to see Luol to know that was wasted money but Okogie is the future and he needs much more playing time. Hell I would rather see Nunnaly in before I see Deng and Bates-Diop needs some playing time.
