I am really feel hopeless this season and something needs to be done besides the coaching. Here is my idea. I feel Washington would make this trade because they are not going anywhere with this roster and Wall has untradeable contract plus out for the season. In the East they could try to shake something up and make the playoffs.
Wiggins and Teague for Wall and Porter. Wall is a lot better player then AW or Teague and Porter would be a better 3 than AW for us. Salary match is almost perfect and combined sum of contracts 7 years for AW/teague and 8 years Wall/Porter. I feel we might even ask for something else on top.

Oh God no way. Two of the worse contracts in the league. No thanks.
Plus we would bring the total dysfunction of the Wizards here. And with Thibs you might as well nuke the franchise.
The only player from Washington I would want is Porter and Porter for Wiggins straight up works perfectly.

The only player from Washington I would want is Porter and Porter for Wiggins straight up works perfectly. First of all, Porter is included in the trade. Second, we'd give Wizards two really bad contracts as well. A better trade would be AW for Beal straight up, but Wizards would not do it. So lets stay real here. I think that the worst contract in the NBA right now is Wiggins. He is 5-6 mln more per year then Wall. But healthy Wall is a heck of a player, even with his limited range. The only way to do it better for us is to do AW/Teague for Wall/Beal (more realistic) or Porter/Beal (unreal).

John Wall has played 50% or less of the season the past two years and has a mega deal incoming. On that alone, hell no.
I'm not opposed to making a trade with Wiggins but not *that* trade.

www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yc4xgzonI wouldn't mind doing this trade though. Incoming: Batum Biyombo Lamb (Lamb is a FA at season's end) Outgoing: Okogie Wiggins Dieng Rose Tolliver Before you say no because it's Okogie, I'm going to advocate that he's not an untouchable player nor will be. He's a role player and he may end up being a good player in the NBA but he's not going to be a guy that will be in the level of KAT (who is arguably the only true untouchable player on the roster). Why do this move? *Lamb is a decent player. Not great but would compliment RoCo and Tyus in the lineup. Lamb is also a bird FA so we can resign him at a decent number this offseason. *Teague can become the poor man's Rose. I'm not sure we'll find a taker for him but until that happens we can use Teague in that role. *Batum is Charlotte's albatross contract and would be a nice swing backup for Saric and Covington in the lineup assuming Taj does not come back next season. Batum can also spot play at the 2. *You get out of Wiggins' contract. Enuf said... Why would Charlotte consider this? *It frees them to play Malik Monk more. *Wiggins becomes a scoring compliment to Walker and probably would do better in a new environment (especially with Jordan). The Dieng/Biyombo swap is more for us to clean out Dieng's contract and get one that expires sooner. It wouldn't be a requirement and I would look at doing the deal without the two players if need be. At the core, it's Wiggins/Rose/Okogie for Batum/Lamb. You get out of two years of Wiggins' contract and find an upgrade to replace him in Jeremy Lamb.

Batum has a horrible contract. Biyombo is garbage and has another year left on his deal. Lamb is the best player by far and will leave once he gets a taste of playing for Thibs. As much as I would love to get rid of Wiggins, this isn't worth it imo.

Wiggins has 5 years left, Batum has 3. I hate Batum's contract but Batum is above replacement level value. Wiggins isn't and probably will end up below replacement at season's end again...as he has for each season in his career.
I don't know where we're going to do much (if any) better if we're going to trade him. We may be stuck with him for the full 5.

The two years difference matters, but we also lose the better players after Batum and Wiggins. We basically get nothing in the next two seasons.

There have been numerous reports that Washington has no interest in Wiggins.
And they definitely would not trade us a much better player (Porter) for him.

I never suggested to trade Wiggins for Porter! Are you aware that there are other players involved? And Teague is a lot better contract than Wall.

What kind of value does Rose have right now? I saw he was (is?) 3rd in all-star votes. Is this the definition of sell high? What the heck would we get for him and who, if anyone, would have interest?
