Previous poster now returning after tracking you guys down to the new site. I posted for awhile and was excited as anyone with the Wiggins, KAT and LaVine young triumvirate. The when Thibs took over it seemed like we were heading for the top. Thibs coaching just took the life out of my excitement for the TWolves. Even with the Butler trade, I could never figure out how it was all going to work with what seemed like 3 max contracts. I couldn't get excited about the team because the team wasn't excited about themselves. And it became obvious that Thibs style wasn't cutting it in the modern NBA. I hardly used my league pass the last couple years.
Anyway, overnight it seems like things have turned around. They got a pretty good return for Butler, and I wasn't all that sorry that Butler was gone- he just didn't seemed to fit with the roster, at least under Thibs. They have a much more balanced roster now. And I have hopes Ryan can coach using modern strategies. Their first game under RS they shot 31 threes! I'm also hoping the change will have a lasting effect on AW. In the OKC game, it sure didn't look like he was overpaid.
Anyway, hope to be posting on this new board with the positive vibes buzzing around right now.

Key Sang@Phantele_ Finally got time to look at the gameflow from last night and wow, it's entirely unlike anything from the past 2 years. Saunders never made a single block substitution that Thibs made all the time. He staggered guys one at a time in looking for what worked then stuck with what did Key Sang@Phantele_ Takeaways - Saunders subbed guys in based on what was happening on the floor, the antithesis of Thibs who subbed based entirely on the clock - The Wolves didn't make a dent in OKC without Tyus and/or Dario on the floor. Which is what it felt like and why they had just huge +/- A good sign, but the game was a little unorthodox with KAT's foul trouble and the Teague ejection. The staggering still stands, but we'll see what happens over the next few games. The Teague ejection really limited us seeing what Saunders would have done with Tyus vs. Teague down the stretch. It was pretty clear from watching the game that Tyus was helping us win more after the Teague we saw in quarter 1 disappeared. If Saunders would have had Teague available, would he have gone back to him again for the last 7-8 minutes of the 4th?

Anyone listen to the Raised by Wolves Podcast? JimPete was on and just railed on how bad a guy Thibs was. Seemed like it has been a toxic atmosphere over the team. JP said a weight has been lifted. Didn’t know it was that bad.
