Jim Pete on Thibs cuts a vein. The truth comes out. Don't miss this.

Nate from Canis:
Jim and his family are good people. He and Muneke are the best people in the organization and they both came to Tim’s funeral and both have been really good to the site over the years. I know that the Thibs regime put a lot of pressure on the announcing crew and I thought Jim handled it about as well as one could. It’s hard to explain how crazy the last two years have been and I’m glad people are starting to talk about it.

That had to be a cathartic interview for JP. You could hear the frustration and exasperation in his voice. What the hell did that search firm do in recommending a person with such poor people skills. Didn't they ask around? I had no idea it was that bad. Now I fully realize how bad it was when the story broke of computers being thrown against the wall at Wolves offices a few months ago. Employees were walking on pins and needles. Working in that environment is death. Taylor should have fired him sooner. ---------------
Funny thing is Taylor finally made the right move by accident! He fires Thibs because he was forced to, by low attendance and other reasons. He falls into Ryan cause it was the easiest way out and Ryan had fan support which equals ticket sales.
It just might work out to be the life saver turn of events that undue the many Thibs mistakes and move us forward to the playoffs.
Taylor would never have done it this way by design. Maybe fate took a blessed turn for this, until now,...pathetic organization. Maybe the pendulum is swinging back after a miserable 30 cycle.
It's all good from here on baby!!

I still am of the firm belief that Korn was more a validation of who Taylor wanted to hire (Thibs) than an actual search for the best possible candidate. Thibs had been sniffing around the Wolves' organization a fair amount during the Mitchell/Milt season. Windhorst was onto it by February. dunkingwithwolves.com/2016/02/11/timberwolves-rumors-tom-thibodeau-a-coaching-possibility/I really think Taylor paid Korn to do some due diligence work and check the boxes of who Taylor wanted in a POBO...and it magically landed on Thibs.

Jim Pete said a weight has been lifted. Gives me some cause to think we may have been underestimating how badly they have been underperforming. Will see if they can put together a streak now.

All I have to say is wow. I had no idea it was that bad. When he talked about Thibs telling other coaches to not talk to Jim Pete... just wow... paranoia much? What went on in Thibs' head to make him so scared that Jim Pete would leak something to the viewers.
This change is just so great for us. People seem happy, energetic, and want to play for their coach. I am so happy to actually root for my team to win again.

The one absolute bonus is Thibs didn't have a chance to trade away Tyus or sign Deng, Rose to any long term contracts.
This absolutely could have been much worse.

We already are paying Dieng big money to be a backup - Now I can't fathom Tyus being anywhere close to Dieng money - but I do think we need to be really careful about overspending for role players at this point when we still have some question marks to figure out on our main core

Too many people on that site just go overboard on the hate for Jim Pete. I've tried to defend him also but you just get the "He's a shill for the organization!" line,... Yep...to a certain degree he is. Its his job! I was going to post this about the interview so I'm glad someone did. It was an amazing interview and offered some good insight.

Tyus is an under the radar player who more than likely won't get a lot of interest. I would think he'd play for a reasonable contract to stay at home and play for Ryan.
Tyus has proved he's a solid rotation guy. The key is we move Teague at the deadline for an expiring and a pick.

As much as some like Tyus, he doesn't have great "counting" stats like scoring so a team willing to overpay would be doing it on a gamble that he can be good in a full time role. Hard for a team to offer him a contract that we wouldn't match. An analytics heavy team could see promise there, but enough to overpay?

I knew Thibs was a blowhard during the games but had no idea how poorly he treated his employees and co-workers. What a jerk! I hope word of this gets out to folks around the Association, so another franchise doesn't hire him and expose their people to this creep.
