Our favorite franchise is so pathetic. Lets all vote on the height of their pathetic-ness. Perhaps it'll be cathartic? Ugh, I'm so depressed.

I voted for the Joe Smith debacle, since the punishment for that had such a long-lasting effect. But this current debacle is SUCH a close second.

I'm going with a write in. Correct this one thing and the last 9 years may have been VERY different:

Other than losing the ability to trade picks (or throw them away in McHale's case), I'm not sure losing them did that much damage to us. 18th overall in 2001 24th overall in 2002 29th overall in 2004 Not exactly an area of the draft we did well at...

Good addition, Levine. I don't think I can edit polls, unfortunately. I would put that one under "Papa Glen's overall terribleness" :P

Not trading Googs for Elden Campbell and Eddie Jones because of past Laker hatred on McHales part.

I was going to go with the Joe Smith debacle but I went with Jimmy Butler. We gave up our rebuilding lottery picks in 2014, 2015, and 2016 for this clown. 3 long years of rebuilding LOTTERY picks!!
Who knows what we'll get back.
When we lost the Joe Smith picks, (we got 2 back) they were picks late in the draft, not lotto picks.
Hiring Thibs might be the worst thing of all. It just wasn't an option. Considering we were so very close to being a good team with so much young talent when Thibs was hired, Thibs might destroy it all yet.
NO MORE REBUILDING!
Trade Jimmy and fire Thibs immediately afterward when we still have something left.

trading Rubio and getting JFT to replace him is up there. maybe not a "blunder", but a move that will forever piss me off as Rubio was the heart and soul of the team and a joy to watch. I might eventually just become a Jazz fan, especially if they don't resign Towns to long term extension..

Jimmy isn't everything. We were a 500 team without out him hurt for 2 months with no bench. We don't have to rebuild from the bottom.
