Some general thoughts:
Guards: Teague looked good, with shifty movements and a solid shot. He should have had more assists, but missed shots and fumbled passes kept his assist numbers low; Rose actually looked really shifty out there too and was knocking down his shots. He's pretty scrappy on defense as well. Let's see how long he can keep it up; Tyus's shot definitely wasn't falling for him (2-10), and his handles were poor last night. Not a great performance for him, IMO; Okogie was a lot of fun to watch and has a lot of potential. He was quick on defense and stayed in front of his guy, and showed glimpses of offensive explosiveness. I thought he played a really good game.
SF: Wiggins sucked. That guy simply has no "twitch" in his game, and just coasts around the court, unable to make the quick adjustments required in today's NBA. His reputation for "freak athleticism" appears to be predicated solely on his leaping ability. Settled for way too many mid-range jump shots; Diop had a tough night shooting, but I thought he hit the boards pretty hard last night, and he was working his tail off; Deng played limited minutes, but showed some awareness on defense that could really help our 2nd unit. I could see him being used primarily as a defensive stopper who is put in situationally when there is a need to change momentum.
PF/C: KAT was a beast; Tolliver isn't shy about putting shots up, and was really knocking down his 3-pointers. His defense got better as the game went on; Gorgui was cleaning up the boards last night and took good shots; Taj didn't show up at all, but that's okay because he will when the games count.
I was a little concerned by the fact that they had 33 assists to our 15. The Wolves need to get better at sharing the ball.
Overall, a fun game to watch. This team has a lot of potential, even without that crybaby Butler.
