I actually thought it would be worse.... Goes back to defense and our lack of it. In the end its on the players...but at some point in time the coach has to say to himself "They're not getting it....I have to change something."

The NBA average winning percentage for leads after 3 last year was 82%. I have mentioned this for a year and a half now. In most of the games we have had huge leads early. In the 4th qtr we seem to slow down and play not to lose.
We still don't block out anybody. You would think the coaches would drill that into players. I guess not.
Like I said before, good teams don't lose very often when leading after 3 especially at home.

I'm surprised our numbers were that high.

Without Butler the team just lacks size. Anyway defense is about not taking plays off and using your will to find a way. Last quarters, when things get muddier, poor defenders "shine", get exposed.
It is about creating a culture, starting pretty young:
The coach yelling in that video is Pablo Laso (Real Madrid), the last coach of Luka Doncic and one of the best in Europe. It happened today, his team was up by 13. The receiving end of the shoves and yells is Pantzar a 3rd PG, a kid from Sweeden, 18 y/o from their farm team.
The words from Laso in the video: "Do you think I care about you turning it over? I care about you defending".
Derrick Rose might get some game back but he won't develop things he hadn't, other guys might be too old to get this type of lesson. It serves better when it comes before any sense of entitlement.

654-103 if my math is right for all playoff teams (.864). From the 50 win teams last year, Philly blew the most leads (44-9). Cleveland didn't blow any (39-0).
