JimPete has been as down on KAT as he's been high on Rose tonight.

Jim Pete just said "kat has the look in his face that he doesn't want to play tonight."
It certainly looks that way. Really disappointing.

KAT's got to suck it up, tell the coach to get me the flippin ball and go out and get it done.
This Toronto team is tough. The epitome of team.

What's that going to do? Rose, Teague and Butler still aren't going to look for him. And its not like Thibs has any idea how to do anything on offense other than to give the ball to his guards and say "go score".

We should've traded Butler after the Cleveland game...

Raptors just dare teams to beat them with the three point shooting and we have failed.

We should've traded Butler after the Cleveland game... Yup.
Jimmy won't ever miss 5 ft's in a row again. Hard to believe.

Rose just drove the floor and missed the layup. Killer.

KAT is really starting to look like he's going to be the next generational talent that Taylor runs out of town.

Oh well. it was a good effort overall by the guys. A little less Rose, if KAT brings it sooner, if Josh makes a shot or two early, if Jimmy doesn't miss 5 ft's in a row, and a lot less Kawhi. It might have been a win.
Kawhi...35 pts, 5reb 2 ast on an outrageous 15 of 23 from the field. How do you beat that??

I think its interesting that JimPete can’t seem to pick up on the correlation between KAT checking out and Rose being Rose. JimPete may in fact know it but there's a paycheck that probably has him Rose-coloring those comments. JimPete feels a bit more "cheerleady" about the Wolves this year and not quite as pointed in his candor.

When Rose has played 27 or fewer minutes, we've won. When he's played more, we've lost.
KAT needs to unload in an after game not getting the ball and call his guys out.
Thibs needs to bury Rose on the pine but he won't...and it's going to sink us.

The Raptors jammed up the lane minimizing one of our strongest players (KAT) leaving open 3 point attempts. In and out game. Clog up the lane (defense), drive and kick out for a 3 (offense) 15-30 threes at 50% for the Wolves (very much unlike the Wolves) while 40-96 below 45% for 2's. Had we shot more threes at that rate or made more attempted 3's we might have won. Hell Okogie missed his first 7 shots. 1/2 of those go in and it's a different game.

I thought they played pretty well overall, against the best team in the East. They just couldn't make up that first-quarter deficit, but every other quarter was very close. I'm just glad to not be seeing the 3rd quarter collapse again this year.
I'm frustrated watching KAT turn into a jump shooter though. So far this season, he seems to have abandoned his array of low-post moves in favor of turn around, fade away jump shots from 15 feet.
I actually thought that the Teague, Okogie, Butler, Taj, KAT lineup looked pretty good out there, and they were +5 as a group for most of the 3rd quarter, until the 2nd unit came in and they went to -5 with Tyus, Rose, Okogie, Tolliver, and Dieng.
Okogie is really growing on me. 11 rebounds! Are you kidding me? Is there any way to have him be a mentor to Wiggins, who is both taller and more athletic than Okogie but couldn't get 11 rebounds in his wildest dreams?
