I'm going with Friday, February 15th as the point where I think he gets canned.
Feel free to say whether it'll happen before or after that.

No matter when it can't come soon enough.
But I say mid December.

After the end of this season I'm pained to say. Yep, we're stuck with him this year.

I would hope that it comes after this six game stretch we play where we could very easily go 0-6. Our next two games are home vs. Lebron and then the Jazz. The boo birds will surely be out those nights and bandwagon fans will make it no easier on us with their cheering for Lebron. Then our next 4 games are all away vs the Warriors, Blazers, Clippers, and Lakers again. I could definitely see us going 0-6 over that span especially if this BS with KAT not getting the ball and Jimmy still on the team.

A move should be made now but maybe when we're 2-8 will Taylor get his head out of his ass and do something.

As an avid MN sports fan, this is how it goes down in my head. Butler is traded shortly after November starts. Taylor will then give Thibs a month to figure out if he's still the right guy. Answer: He's not. After another half a month, he is canned. Adding that up, approximately Dec. 15-20. Maybe Christmas (that would be evil despite Thibs being a bad coach). Wolves end up with the 3rd worst record. Pick 8th. Get another bust. Repeat.

Not for at least this season, and I would not be surprise if he coached all of next year too.
Taylor has money tied up in him, is not know for having any pulse of the team, has stated confidence in him. He is not going anywhere unless KAT demands a trade and then it’s probably too late anyway.

I'm guessing it's end of season. Things are going to have to get really bad on the court for Glen to eat that much money. It's possible that happens but Glen gave horrible coaches like Rambis and Wittman more time than anyone would have thought and those contracts are small compared to Thibs.

I mean Taylor is a billionaire, or course he CAN eat the contract, but that doesnt mean he is likely to do so.

Not saying I want him, but doesn't this sound like Pitino is speaking directly to Glen?
"I just want to be a part of an organization," Pitino told ESPN. "I want to develop young players. I want to be part of a team. I miss it terribly. I’m using this time to really study the NBA. If something opens up with a young basketball team, I’d have deep interest in it.
"I think the league is going to get younger and player development will become even more important to every organization. That’s my forte. I believe I can help an organization find a pathway to success."
"I’m not looking for any of that [power/control] at this stage of my life," Pitino told ESPN. "I want to develop teams and develop players and build a winner. I value analytics. I want to fit into an organization. At this stage, that’s all I’m interested in."

I really dont know that much about how he did as a head coach the first time around. I seem to remember hearing Trent Tucker speak favorably of him but not sure. then again...that was a long time ago. I really have no idea how he'd do but he would not be my first choice...unless he's willing to come in and "save the day" so to speak for hte rest of the year....and we can see how he does...

Might help out the U of M to have that contact with a NBA HC. Not sure if I like Pitino has HC for the Wolves though. Maybe a part of a new coaches staff to start out with. If I had a choice I would try to reach out to Villanova's HC Jay Wright to see if he was interested. I don't think he would be just like Coach K was never interested in moving to the NBA.

I would take Pitino over Thibs anyday. Of course, I would take just about anybody over Thibs.
I find it very interesting that we're seeing a much more mild Thibs on the sideline. Far less barking and he's actually sitting on the bench watching for periods of time. He's micromanaging less. He's opening up the offense some by allowing the guys to shoot more threes.
Paul Allen (PA) on his morning show said he though a trade for jimmy could happen at any time and that Philly could be involved. Keep in mind Paul has only been right once in his life. He did pick a Kentucky Derby winner back in 2002. :)
