Thank God. Never been a big fan of his. Maybe the Queens will get a nice mobile quarterback.

Cousins had some fun games, not all of the issues he had here were on him. Really struggled with our o line staying healthy, which is the one thing I would say for him, needs time, and then our d seems like was injured quite a bit last few Zim years. I recall one year where it seemed like Cousins figured out check downs, but it seemed like he would hang on too long at times, versus guys like Brady, and Rogers who just throw it out of bounds if there's nothing there.
If he was 100% healthy, he probably comes back, but coming off that injury I think it's the right time to move on, especially compared to a four year deal ATL is offering.

We couldn't match their offer if we wanted to. They beat the most we could offer by 10M/year.

Kirk wanted a longer contract than the Vikings would give. Plus the guaranteed money.
We go out and replace with the pathetic Darnold. And cross our fingers we hit the jackpot in the draft. With a 5 % success rate in drafting a QB that makes it past the first contract, the odds are very low.
But, it has allowed the team to spend in other places like 2 new LB's and an edge player. And an upgrade at RB. We will see what is next. But, be ready for several losing seasons. The goal at QB, get as many options as possible to fight to be the starter. They should still be looking at trades for players like Wilson, Rush or Lance.
Seattle did it when they drafted Wilson. SF did it two years ago.

In 88 starts with Kirk Cousins:
50-37-1 record ... 1 division title ... 2 playoff appearances ... 1 playoff win ... 0 conference championships ... $185m spent
In 88 starts before Kirk got here (Ponder, Cassel, Teddy, Bradford, and Keenum):
49-38-1 record ... 2 division titles ... 3 playoff appearances ... 1 playoff win ... 1 conference championship ... $41m spent

Well, we also couldn't compete with the tampering that occurred. Cousins indicated a player on Atlanta recruiting him weeks ago. He stated he had contact with the trainer, etc. on Tuesday, before he was allowed. We will see if the Vikings file a complaint.

Cousins wasn't doing much with the Vikings and it's time to move on.

Miami gave up a 1st and 3rd round pick for the tampering that occurred. We don't know what if any consequence there will be. But, Cousin pretty much implicated a lot so he either has to lie and say that didn't really happen or the league will need to do something as more than one thing occurred that is identified as tampering.

Totally different situation.
Miami's tampering occurred 3x with Players (Tom Brady twice) and Coaches (Sean Payton) on other teams during the season.
They also got tagged for potentially tanking games down the stretch at the owner's request.
I believe the worst punishment for talking to a player during the two-day "legal negotiating" period was the forfeiture of a 3rd round pick.

It doesn’t work that way.
If they lose the pick, no one gets it. It’s forfeited, not transferred.
