Well, things are not off to a good start with injuries already piled high with the Pitching staff.
This has to be some kind of conditioning issue as its a lot of strains, etc. One SP is already down for the season, we have been down this road before with trades for SP. The team has to stop going for players like this.

I would call the start poor. Losing the first two home games to Cleveland, because we couldn't hit a balloon if it floated by. The hitters all seem to be waiting too much and trying to draw a walk instead of getting a hit. They have had plenty of walks, just not hitting when needed. Maybe it will pay off being that selective at the plate, but right now it is not.
Wallner on Saturday was super frustrating. One at bat, He is up in the count, watches a ball go low and inside. It is called a strike as he watches it. He argues it with the ump as it is clearly a ball. What does the opposing P due, yeah throw the exact same location again and Wallner just stares at it again and made zero adjustment. HE was trying to draw a walk instead of making a play.
The Pitching has actually been very solid other than one game. The bull pen has started off very well, and that with key players on IL.

They are showing some life. Hitters are starting to get some hits. SP is suspect after Pablo, Ryan and Ober. Funny how hitting all turned around once Kepler and Larnach came back to the roster. Hopefully, if Lewis and Correa ever come back things will be even better.
