That was Ant last night. The guy is hurting and he toughs it out. A lot of contact fouls weren't called either which pizzed him off.

Just a bad game all around. The defense was ok but just not good enough to stop a hot shooting Chicago team. I had the feeling all game that we were going to "pull it together" and come back in the end and "save" the game but it was not to be the case. It was an unfortunately poor game from Ant. While he may have had some stats, it didnt seem like he had anything going that was making a difference. The last 5 minutes was a disaster for him with at least 2 turnovers in crunch time. This seems like a game that we didnt make adjustments to compensate for the 3 ball not falling for us.
Now we're back in third place just like that. If the season ended today....we'd be facing New Orleans, which to me is a worst case scenario. And because Timberwolves: probably the most likely scenario.
Side question: what is it with this site that it seems to randomly decide where to put new threads? I missed this thread initially because it was way down on the list of threads and didnt even show up on my screen.

The first half was a combo of D below our standard and them being ridiculously hot. D was great for a stretch in the 2nd half to get us on top, but we went ice cold down the stretch. I was there which sometimes limits your scope, but I didn't think it the ball was sticky or anything. I thought we mostly got good shots it's just that bad decisions on passes cost us shots and they didn't go in enough. For as ho hum as we played, Ant making a few more of his several misses at the rim and just 1 of the multiple threes at the end and it could've been a different result. Pelicans aren't a great match up but is Dallas any better with the way they're playing currently?

(14-0 if you count preseason). Dallas probably isnt any better. Just one of those years where 1-6 are relatively really good teams.

I think this is the kind of game where we really missed KAT. On the rare occasion when Ant is struggling and others are not making shots, those are the games where KAT would typically have a good scoring game. It's a nice luxury to have as Ant isn't going to have it EVERY night.

If the logic that KAT would help us win games like the Bulls game, then the Wolves should have had a better record with KAT right?. We don't. We're winning at the same rate without him. Maybe in this individual game KAT would have given something that turned the tide, but that means that there are other games we did win that we would have lost if KAT would have played. Obviously it's a small sample size, but generally the stats suggest we're a similar team without KAT and it looks that way as well in the aggregate. We can't have it both ways.

Agree, but I'm just focusing on this year, and think it is a luxury to have KAT for now, especially with Naz's ascension. I really think this team is a legit contender to not just win the West, but win it all. Going into the summer and next season, I totally understand the need for Wolves to explore trade offers for KAT given the salary cap implications of having 3 supermaxes.
