Need the win to stay alive for the play-offs.

They didn't win and the offense laid a total egg. They were not creative, kept doing the same plays on 3rd and short that didn't work the first time.
As a result, it appears that DeFillipo has been released from his duties as OC. That offense simply was not prepared and out of sync most of the game. That falls on the OC and HC. Players expressed displeasure after the game (Theilen and Diggs) about what was going on. Even the play by play and color commentary seemed to question why the Vikings were not doing some simple things to move the chains like short passes.
There also is some blame on Cousins, he did not have a good game. He made some incorrect reads at critical times in the game.
Time for a change in coaching in MN.

I think the big thing is the OC, which maybe can be fixed now, though it may be too late. When we had Norv, the offense was a dud. We had talent, but we couldn't keep anything sustained. He was incredibly predictable. Then we put Shurmur in and we looked like world beaters with Keenum, then he left and we are back to predictable. I don't have the ticket or even normal television, so I have only been able to see about 3 games this season, but after upgrading the QB, we shouldn't be forced to run the same 5 plays over and over and over again. We have the talent to do more. I get that our O-Line still is not great, but the little bit that I saw didn't have us doing anything to help relieve that. I probably focus too much on this, but the first indicator to me on how willing an OC is to make adjustments and fix defensive mismatches is the screen pass. I remember seeing 1 in the 3 games I got to watch. I don't remember seeing things like slants, draws or passes to the flats. If your whole playbook is runs and play-action, you aren't going to do much. That works great on Madden, but not so much in the NFL. I will say that I am also disappointed in the defense I saw. My favorite part of watching Zimmer's defense the past few years is how he isn't afraid to move everyone up to the line and blitz from anywhere; especially on third down. He did that maybe 5 times in the 3 games I watched. We are making things way too easy on the opposing QBs. It is OK to play that way when you have an explosive offense that forces the other team to out score you, but when your offense can't move down the field, you need the defense to get you better field position. You don't do that by playing safe. You do that by bringing pressure. Zimmer seems to have lost faith in his coverages out there. At least in the small sample size I saw. It's frustrating, cause I really, really liked that style of defense.

The defense has been not as good this year as well. Which also is a mystery because they have more depth than previous years. Granted, this year the secondary has struggled with injuries. The LB's have not performed well. Safeties have not played well. This is especially seen on misdirection plays, they just forget to be smart.
The D-line at times has done well but other times they are contained too easily.
I personally think Zimmers time in Minnesota should be over. If a HC cannot get to the Superbowl early as coach, the chances go down significantly. The Seattle game may be the first cracks showing up with players expressing concerns.
As for fixing the offense, you need a OC willing to do lots of different things to gain advantage. Seattle yesterday was a good example, they did a lot of things to confuse. Vikins, utterly predictable at times like on 3rd and short. When they run, everyone knows short yardage they run to the right side. How about trying a different play, not just changing the player.
