ISO ball w/o a PG does not work well...
Even with Durant, Booker and Beal, Phoenix holds the worst offensive rating (104.1) in the fourth quarter this season, 3.5 points worse than the No. 29 Portland Trail Blazers.

Thats just crazy. 3 great offensive players and thats the result. I wonder if every day Phx regrets making that trade for Durant. (And Beal)

Durant at least makes sense.
Beal is the head scratcher. Totally redundant- and declining.
They should’ve gone after Rudy or a PG.

13-0 Phx isn't quite the start we were looking for. We better get it together quick like. You can't win a game in the 1st qtr but you can lose one in the 1st qtr.

Wolves played their worst game of the year. It happens. It's a good thing I was watching Iowa-Uconn gals final 4 game, on a second tv, which was terrific. Refs make a horrible call against Uconn with 10 secs to go when they were down by one. It was such a minor ticky call which is infuriating to me. Let the gals decide the game. I hate basketball officiating!!!!
That said, Uconn went cold and made too many mistakes so Iowa probably deserved to win. You just hate to see the officials pretty much decide it.

I do not know how you go from the throw down on one team and two days later come out that flat. It was just uninspired Basketball. It was not like they were getting no shots, they had them. It was very clear that multiple players did not have their heads in the game at all. I turned it off and hoped to wake up to another 2nd half come from behind. Nope, still cold shooting all game and turn overs galore. It was just bad basketball.

So if the wolves have played thier worst 2 games of the year against the same team that they've only see twice....does that say more about US or THEM? The short and sweet of it is that yes, this team hasnt shown up for 2 games against Phx but when Phx puts it together they are good. This is an example of what I hate about the NBA right now: put some stars together, hope that you can figure out how to play together by March and just make the play in. Then you're like a new team that no one has saw. Same as Lakers last year. That said, lots of iso ball last night from Ant. When he's off and trying to get back on it, he can essentially shoot you out of games. Turnovers killed us and never let us get into any kind of flow. Ant wins us lots of games but last night I think he lost us that one. Naz was also horrendous. He and Ant together had 9 turnovers. But the real problem was between them they only had 5 assists. So they almost doubled up the number of turnovers vs assits. No one had more than 3 assists on the team. That fact tells the story right there. I'll say it: I dont want to face Phx.

Maybe but Wolves defense was fine- offense was horrid. Suns aren’t exactly known for their defense so not sure what to take away from this game. They had some strategies for Ant that were a little different. Definitely a flat game and maybe Finch could have coached better. But it seems like he’s playing it straight during the season and saving his strategic moves for the playoffs.

I know that there's a lot of ammunition for a Dane Moore to analyze with a Jace Frederick about how the Wolves don't matchup well with PHX, but despite it being our 2nd bad loss to PHX, I can't read too much into this particular one. Bad matchups are more about defense and I don't think our D was that bad last night. It was actually decent. Our offense just was awful. Horrendous shot making, TOs, lack of passing etc. PHX contributed to it with good D, but a lot of this one was just us playing badly. It happens. That said, PHX has our number. I think Booker is now 10-1 vs Ant since Ant entered the league. We just don't play well vs. PHX.
There are a couple of things I do think are more relevant.
Ant needs a reset. The poor shooting is persisting. He hasn't shot well for like 2 weeks. Yes, he also had a poor decision making game, but making shots helps and he hasn't done that for awhile. In general, Ant's efficiency limits him from being that superstar top 5 player (he's young), but recently it's just not even up to his baseline. All the talk of KAT vs. Naz or who we face in the playoffs doesn't matter if Ant is going to shoot like he has the last 2 weeks. We'll get bounced in the first round if Ant continues to shoot 35% from the field or whatever it is. That week off before the playoffs could be huge for him.
It was pointed out on the broadcast and there's truth to it IMO. Rudy struggles with big burly centers. Guys like Nurkic and Jonas V. give Rudy problems because they get into him with their bulk/strength and keep him from hitting the glass and force him deep offensively. Sabonis does it as well with his strength.

I think it's safe to say that PHX wouldn't be a preferred matchup in the first round. It's completely up in the air at this point, but that last game of the year at Target Center could be really important for seeding. Who knows what will happen, but there could be a scenario where the Wolves are say locked into the 2 seed and PHX needs a win to get 6. I know Finch and Wolves have been a "let's play" team this year, but would the Wolves play the game of trying to manipulate seeding? We haven't rested guys and it would give PHX a sweep of the season series, but insuring PHX wouldn't be the team you'd face out of the play in could be an interesting scenario.

Makes total sense. You guys make it sound like the refs give her a LeBron pass. If you've seen more than one game, you've seen her get clobbered time and again. She must be snarky to opponents because many times it looks as if the defender is truely trying to hurt her. That said, she is a must watch; much more than just a markswoman from 3. I am watching the women's this year because of her.

There were more than a few factors about this game. #1 Devin Booker. His first shots he goes into Jaden and falls back. You guessed it a whistle. Kat goes into a player. He gets the whistle. Seen it more than a few times. Devin is more slick and KAT flops around. Jaden had to be very careful after that. #2 Grayson Allen. Sharpshooter. The Wolves should have started Jaden and NAW and sit Naz for this game. #3. Never got Rudy into the game and we were not hitting 3's at all. #4. Didn't get many calls. Ant drives to the lane, gets mauled, no call. Grayson (I have a potty mouth)ing Allen drives to the rim, gets the call. Also every run we got they squashed it pretty easily.
