After 54 games the Twins have been 6 games above .500 16 times in their history. Only 5 times (65, 69, 92, 02, 10) did they manage to keep that same pace the rest of the season, and 8 times they played sub .500 ball the rest of the way. On the bright side, only once (1990) did they finish below .500, and it was a whopping 14 games below .500 xD. Twice (72, 73) they finished exactly at .500.
37-17 is their best record ever after 54 games, the old record being 36-18 set in 1970 and matched in 2001. In 1970 they finished 98-64, but in 2001 they shit the bed going 49-59 the rest of the way to finish 85-77.
6 times they've managed to be 10 games over .500 after 54 games and only twice (65, 70) did they even play above .500 the rest of the way.
