theathletic.com/2704643/2021/07/13/wild-buying-out-zach-parise-and-ryan-suter-sources/I've got several friends who follow hockey and know people in the Wild org. I knew that Parise was looking to get out/retire. His body has taken a beating. I hope he stays on as a consultant or coach. Suter. Major league douche. Everyone that has met him or talked with him has said the same thing. And for his salary he didn't provide much for the Wild. Glad to see him gone.

I'm not sure he retires. I'm hearing he wants to play and welcomes the opportnity. It will really cost us if either one retires but both would be a killer for our cap in future years.
I didn't know that about Suter. He's rubbed me the wrong way for the last few years so I'm not surprised. He's a D-man that can easily be replaced. I won't miss Suter one bit and Zach only a little bit.
It took balls for Guerin to do this. It was the right move. Obviously they couldn't get anything for either one of them.
That means they protect Dumba. Dumba is a mistake waiting to happen but it looks like they keep him.
The good news is they have a ton of really good talent waiting to come up and play.

I've always liked Dumba. This past year I think he was injured and often so he really didn't show up much to the games. If he's back to playing like he used to we'll be fine. This draft and expansion draft will be interesting. We have alot of really solid players but only one super star (imho).

i also really like Fiala.
We have 2 1sts in this draft too. I'd be looking center all day. I'd trade both picks to move up for a stud center.
I liked Dumba before he got hurt. He's not the same guy now. Maybe he just needs more time. The Suter buy out is the best thing to happen for Dumba.

Wild definitely won this draft as far as I'm concerned. We may now have a future top 5 nhl goalie. Something we've never had before. www.nhl.com/wild/news/wild-first-round-recap-072321/c-325770228

I see fletcher is still giving out draft picks like crazy like they don't mean anything. And from my searching around, most of the fans are mad at the trade he made. He's running that team into the ground and into cap hell just like he did with us. Good riddance on our end.

Wallstedt and Landos are first rate and easily should be contributors in 3 years or so.
This front office is proving to be more than we could have hoped for. They don't play favorites, they make tough decisions, they know talent. After MN teams having bad front offices for years the Wolves and Wild are a joy to behold. I thought the Twins were getting there but this last offseason was a killer. I'll give them ONE bad year.....

Not only that but the Risebrough was even worse if that's possible. I love Louie but he loved them both. Come on Louie!

It was a good draft. The moves have been excellent in the off-season. Time to reshape the team for the future. Lets hope the team finds more talent before next season.
