The Wild beat these guys down like the last game. This Wild team is for real and hitting on all cylanders. Strong fore-check, above average defense and 4 super solid lines are too much for teams to handle. Amamzing the transformation in culture!
GMBG, has been right. He's made the tough decisions, and brought in the right players. The free agent defensemen and Rem Pitlick a waiver addition have all worked well. Wow!
Coach Evason has exceeded all expectations and has full control of the team. No wonder they are killing it.

I've said before and say it again. Suter was really holding our defense back. If you are paying a defensemen that much money they need to produce goals. With Suter gone I think our defense has moved way up in the scoring category while still limiting breakdowns. It's really fun to watch this team and the way they are playing and doing things I would say top 10 if not top 5 in the country. About the only team that scares me are the Panthers. They are a very speedy team and when we played them we couldn't keep up with them and the ice was very lopsided in their favor. |

After the broken ankle he got even slower.
Kulikov, Benn and Merrill have been surprisingly good. Far better than I expected. That tells me a lot about our management team and talent evaluation with Guerin and his close associates. A couple of those guys were past GM's and hockey lifers. It shows.
The big strength of our team is we go 4 lines deep and all can score. The other big strength is we have a great forecheck and can control the puck in the opposition end. And they usually hustle like hell. When they lose the effort is down on that night.
I haven't watched this much hockey in a long time. The only time I ever loved winter is when I was a kid in Bk Center on an outdoor rink playing hockey and freezing my ass off. I was a hockey fanatic back in those days.
