Our defensive rebound percentage in the last 6 games has been > .750. That's usually a good hallmark that we're grabbing boards again. We were getting killed on the boards early in the year. The effort is clearly back for most (Wiggins right now a clear exception to that)
Last year, we hit or passed the .750 mark 54 times (34-20 compared to 13-15 under it).

Teague Okogie Covington Saric Kat But our forward thinking all knowing/studying 24 hours a day coach isn't that bright. No I really don't like Thibs.

Unfortunately, it isn't realistic to sit a maxed player in the nba. However, they could and should play him fewer minutes and give Okogie some run. Rose is playing so well that he deserves PT, but I hate him playing wing. Frankly, I would sit Tyus if it meant Okogie gets his minutes and Rose plays his minutes at PG. Of course, I would prefer that it was JFT who sits, but not going to happen with Thibs.

I think that one is a lot easier to quantify - and is likely sustainable: Covington and Saric are easily our two best players at boxing out, combined with Tolliver not playing and Taj getting fewer minutes.

RoCo is the best.
Wiggins is...the opposite of that...

Sexton is one of the worst defensive players in the league, so it was nice to see Teague just eat him alive in the 1st quarter.

Taj in for Saric and our defensive rebounding goes to shit.

The preparation of the ex-Sixers puts the holdovers to shame. They've both been game-ready since the moment they joined the team

Taj has been a disaster this half.

I love that Covington is 5/7 shooting tonight, but he's playing the exact same game as his 1/18 against the Bulls.
Consumate pro.

Fun basketball for a change. Good ball movement and pace of play. Towns and Cov have been teriffic.
Saric is so smart out there and does so many things well. He needs to start. Get Saric a shooting coach and work on his form then he'll have it all.

Taj has been a disaster this half. He has 4 huge offensive rebounds. We only have 6 total.

Taj has been a disaster this half. He has 4 huge offensive rebounds. We only have 6 total. Whoopee? At least 2 of them hit the ground before "finding" him. I'd trade all 4 of them for defensive boards. He's been awful - and it doesn't help that Thibs keeps posting him up.

The Teague/Rose/Wiggins perimeter is providing absolutely no defensive resistence.

Its so nice watching Cov and Saric play. I love the trade more and more every day. Agreed but it keeps Thibs employed. I just can't wait til he's gone.

The Teague/Rose/Wiggins perimeter is providing absolutely no defensive resistence. Wiggins better be smart with his money because he's definitely going to need something to put food on the table after this contract because no one will sign him at all. I wouldn't even give him a MLE at this point. Bench him or see if Washington will swap Porter.

Tyus is finally out of his funk. DRose has been playing like a 6th man of the year candidate. We have Josh O on the bench. Yet Thibs still plays Jeff Teague for the entire quarter.

Team is humming along with Tyus, so of course Thibs has to put Teague back in...
