7:15 Starting time. FSN
I'm betting Thibs will be out coached in this game.
Looks Like Covington will be out as well as Teague and Rose. More playing time for Okogie and Tolliver but Thibs is going to burn out the starters.
Why bring in a player like Nunnaly or Deng if you don't play them. Hell sign me a $1.5 Million contract and I will sit on the bench. Will even mentor the kids on life for free.

Part of me thinks Glen wants to tank, let the season be lost so we can get into a loaded draft.. Any other organization would have parted ways with this curmudgeon long before the season began.

Unfortunately, with as bad as the East is, if the draft was today, we'd be picking 10th - despite being the 13th "seed" in the West.

Alan Horton@WolvesRadio Thibs tells the pregame show — with Cov, Teague & Rose out — Josh Okogie will start tonight vs. Celtics.
And says, depending on who Celtics have on the floor, Nunnally, Tolliver and/or Deng could see time on the wings.

Kyrie out tonight - Another lucky break for the wolves. With how disappointing the celtics have been this year and with Kyrie out....we might have a shot

Drive and kick out to the three point shooter that we never guard. What a concept.

Bayless turns over the ball, stares incredulously as the other team goes on a fast break for the dunk.

Drive and kick out to the three point shooter that we never guard. What a concept. Not sure why you’d leave Gordon to help on that drive

Look closely boys and girls how easy it is to out coach Thibs. Almost 6 minutes without a bucket.

Never thought I’d say this but the ESPN broadcast has been refreshing to listen to. While JVG goes over-the-top with his commentary at least he’s able to talk about what’s wrong with our wolves team

5-18 Wolves 3pt shots 11-27 Celtics.
Amazing defensive acumen Thibs.

It's the same thing every night. We refuse to defend the 3. Nice comeback to get it back to 6 but they kept hitting shots. Once again down by 22 early. Boston had more assists than rebounds. KAT's night wasted again. 28-12-7. Wigs 31-2-3. Thanks Wigs for the boards and assists. Nice contribution from you there.
Great game by Tyus. 14-1-9-4. 50% from the field.

5-18 Wolves 3pt shots 11-27 Celtics. Amazing defensive acumen Thibs. Thibs is so convinced he's doing everything correctly regardless of all evidence to the contrary. He truly doesn't see it.
Come on Glen, pull the trigger.

While JVG goes over-the-top with his commentary at least he’s able to talk about what’s wrong with our wolves teamWhat did he say? I didn’t catch the entire espn broadcast..,but the parts I caught... Said the wolves are full of empty stats guys. Tyus doesn’t create good shots for his teammates Wondered why our team leaders (Kat???) don’t play with the intensity needed when the game starts. Said the rest of the team follows the leaders and when the leaders start the game without intensity then the rest of the team will follow that lead, Said DRose makes winning plays There was more - but I can’t remember it all

It takes too much energy to argue a call.

I didn't think we'd win given RoCo didn't play. If it weren't for KAT getting going in the 3rd quarter we probably would have lost by 30+. Wiggins' numbers last night were about as hollow as they'd get.
Hayward lit us up.
FWIW, Doris Burke was criticizing Wiggins last night as well - talking about effort and hustle...there was a graphic early on that showed how few 10+ board and dime games he had in his career and Burke said something to the effect that he should be embarrassed about that.
Last night was probably the most specific and pointed criticism that Wiggins have had from anyone that's not a fan. About damn time...

Time after time teams move the ball to open 3 pt shooters and we don't have anybody within 12 feet of him. Why is that Thibs?

Never thought I’d say this but the ESPN broadcast has been refreshing to listen to. While JVG goes over-the-top with his commentary at least he’s able to talk about what’s wrong with our wolves team I don't know about that. I thought they had a bunch of preconceived points they wanted to make that didn't really fit with what was happening on the court. They spent some time ripping on Wigs, which I did agree with, and showed a stat of his career games with over 10 rebounds or assists; he had 5 games with over 10 rebounds and 0 with over 10 assists in like 360 games. JVG called that an embarrassment for someone as athletic as Wiggins. Doris ripped on a couple of individual defensive plays too, where he was in typical Wigs mode, just standing there like a dope with his mouth hanging open as guys got behind him for the easy dunk. His criticism of KAT was ridiculous though. He came in with the "empty stats" narrative and tried to paint the picture that KAT was just coasting in the first half and completely disengaged. But I thought he was playing hard. He put up nine shots in that first half, but they just weren't dropping for him. He was still hitting the glass and making some nifty passes. As for Tyus, I thought his criticism was that he was a "safe" player who was okay but couldn't create for himself, which is what JVG thinks this team needs; he then went on to sing the praises of Rose and Teague. He was proven wrong in that narrative too, to a degree, as I thought Tyus was pretty aggressive offensively last night and had 14 points to go along with his 9 assists. Okogie was god-awful last night and Brad Stevens was able to move him around the court defensively to wherever he wanted Josh to go. He looked like the greenest of rooks last night. The rest of our bench stunk too. Daric was a no-show, and Tolliver put on one of the worst individual defensive displays I've had the displeasure of watching this season. Yuck. He did make a few shots in garbage time, so hopefully that keeps his trade value up a bit. Just a forgettable game overall, where almost everyone looked tired and somewhat disinterested in being there.

JVG has been a fierce defender and has a direct line to the guy.
