Dane Moore@DaneMooreNBA With Jeff Teague out tonight, Tom Thibodeau said he was "undecided" on who would start in his place.
Last season, Tyus Jones played 260 minutes with the other four starters and tallied a net-rating of plus-24.3 in that time. He started 11 games in place of Teague last season.

There is another thread where levine posted reports that Butler's "soreness" was premeditated and is part of a 6-week plan to punish the Wolves for not meeting his trade demand. I would be completely blown away if Teague's rest is anything less than legit. I have issues with Teague the player for our particular team, and I don't like that we moved from Rubio for him, but Teague the person is all class and totally team-first. I cannot see him sitting out games that he could actually play in. He is the only player I remember publicly advocating for more playing time for his backup.

Tom Thibodeau does not understand basketball and should never coach in the league again if he can't figure this stuff out. I'm sure Rose will start though. Thibs is just so incredibly biased in his evaluations.

I assume Teague hurt his knee in practice. I don't remember him ever leaving the game against LA. Does anyone know if that's true?

He should start Tyus but will he? Not a chance. Rose will start with Okogie, Wigs, Taj and KAT.
One thing is Thibs is predictable.

The frustrating thing is that Rose could possibly be valuable in small spurts as an energy burst, but Thibs plays him starter minutes. I swear to God if he keeps playing him so many minutes I'm going to break my tv. He played him the entire 4th quarter against Lakers despite OKG having great game. If OKG would have played 4th instead the game would not have been as close, but Thibs has his security blanket players like Rose.

You're right, Teague is legit. No doubt.

Plus, we need his stability. Everybody will be involved with Tyus in there.

You can tell that Teague isn't happy here either, but he's a good soldier. He's the only one in the entire organization that is willing to call out Thibs on his bullshit. And he's doing it more and more. I'm pretty sure this isn't what he signed up for and probably counting the days until he can get away from this dumpster fire of a franchise. On the positive, I now really doubt he picks up his option next year (barring a great Butler trade and a new coaching staff coming in).

No chance if Thibs is here.
Thibs is death to PG's. Ricky begged Taylor to move him. Tyus wants out and probably Teague too. Thibs is toxic.

I could see him opting out and getting another 2-3 year deal in the 20-30M range. He'll leave some money on the table by opting out but if he picks up his option, he'll be 32 and may have to stare down his next deal being for the MLE or less. I don't see him having that much demand at that point. This summer is probably his best chance to get one more mid-size contract for a few years based on the amount of cap space teams will have. Financially he may come out pretty much even, at least close enough that he likely will see escaping being a positive.

He limped slightly but I don't think he came out immediately. Definitely one of those things that would feel worse the next day.

Wiggins is a taller version of Rose except Rose can actually dribble the ball.

Atmosphere better with better play from the team now. Tone Loc the halftime show. Lol. Part of the whole throw back thing with the jerseys. Board showing clips of the crowd from the 90s which is kind of funny
