If by "exposed", you mean that they got beat by a better team that's better coached and has been in the playoffs more...sure. But Saric was the second best player in the BOS series for Philly. Covington was shut down but Boston's perimeter defense is among the league's best. And it was also Philly's first rodeo in the playoffs and they toasted a more experienced Heat squad in round 1...so there's that.
How did Minnesota do again?

Just have to lol at these takes, “no defense Covington”, Philly didn’t like them. Guy clearly has no clue about Covington or Saric and tried to be contrarian and he just looks foolish in doubling down.

Sub out Thibs, sub in Mitchell, make the above trade - and I think we would have made it last year. Sub out Thibs, sub in a Magic 8 Ball, make the trade above - and I think we would have made it last year. I'll bite. Magic 8 Ball? Who or what is that?

Dane Moore@DaneMooreNBA
Anthony Tolliver described new sort of salary-based hierarchy in Wolves locker room that was off before
AT said there are “nightly expectations” for KAT + Wiggins that come w/ being a “max player”
He also said there was “never really a doubt” that KAT was team’s “best player”

Will Saric and Covington be playing tonight?

Jon K and Shams:
After Butler plays 39 minutes in a loss to the Clippers that dropped the Wolves to 0-3 on the trip, the Wolves have conversations with the Heat about a possible trade. But the Heat inform the Wolves that Richardson is no longer on the table after his stellar start to the season, and the Wolves move on.
Minnesota begins to engage seriously with Philadelphia, New Orleans and Houston. New Orleans’ package is headlined by Nikola Mirotic and an unprotected first-round draft pick and the Rockets’ proposal has Eric Gordon, Nene and two first-round picks, sources said. The 76ers come with their proposal around Robert Covington and Dario Saric, leaving the Timberwolves to deliberate.

I wonder if the new guys will play tonight?
RoCo has an obvious spot in the rotation taking Jimmy's minutes, but what about Saric? Thibs has been playing Taj a little less this year. Does he move him to the bench at this point?
G is playing the fewest MPG of his career (tied w/ his rookie year). Does Thibs bench him completely? Make Taj the backup 5?

jace frederick@JaceFrederick Taj Gibson said he has no issues coming off the bench (we’ll see what the rotation is)

Covington is super streaky, he is unable to create a shot or move with the ball. He is a spot up shooter. Saric has no defense and gets pushed around a lot. And you didn't answer my question why fans did not like these players or were expressing concerns about them with a playoff team. The Reddit thread points out a few things I mentioned like Covington known for making dumb plays. He is real streaky. Saric's inability to play defense. Like I said, we will see in time and I'll gladly eat my words. I just don't think this helps the team in the short term or long term. If Taylor hadn't been a moron with the Richardson trade by asking for a FRP after the deal had been made we would not be in this mess. Or if the team had any kind of good management traded Butler before it became a mess and get more for him.

SAric and Covington do not dribble to those spots. They are catch and shoot players. This was last year and this year. And I didn't need a chart to know where RC shoots the ball best, corner on the left side, so so in the middle and meh on the right side.

Yes I picked last year - because we're 13 freaking games into the current season. Small sample size and all. Covington is currently having his best year shooting the ball. He's well above his career numbers everywhere, but the dreaded long 2. Saric is off to his usual slow start - a byproduct of his commitment to his National Team. But he appears to be breaking out of it, as he's hit four 3s in each of his past 2 games.

Philly's offense is also a a bit off because Fultz and Shamet are getting a lot of minutes and are idiots (Fultz especially). Their passes/game are down about 20% from last year so a lot of the flow/ebb from last year's squad is missing. And having "catch and shoot" guys on this roster fits a need that we have given we had five guys who needed the ball all the time. Now it's four (and we should still ship one of Teague or Rose out of here).

Presser:
Robert Covington on leaving a Philadelphia organization he bloomed in: “It was definitely a shocker. But understand it’s part of the business... You can be mad, but you can’t allow it to take away from the opportunity in front of you.”
Dario Saric: I like to start. I am more comfortable there. ... but says it’s about what’s best for the team.
Dario Saric on the fit that comes with a pairing alongside Karl-Anthony Towns: "If I could find a way to play with Joel, I can find a way to play with KAT."

After dealing with Jimmy only being about Jimmy, this is a breath of fresh air:
“It’s about effort. It’s about repetition,” Covington told the media “I can help these guys a lot ... I watched the game [against Brooklyn] yesterday and i already seen where some of the drop-offs was, so i definitely feel like my veteran presence can allow that to really help them.”
