ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reporting that Wolves will be getting Robert Covingtong, Dario Saric and a second rounder. It's expected that Butler and the 76ers will reach a long-term deal this summer.

Butler and Patton for Covington, Saric, Bayless and a 2nd. Not a bad haul for a guy leaving anyway.
Covington's contract will be nice.
Another shoe to drop with Taj, Tolliver and Saric on the roster?

Covington was 1st, 1st and 3rd in defensive plus minus the last 3 years.

Butler was 4th in the league in rpm last year, Covington was 8th and he costs way less and is locked up for 4 years, love it.

I think his poor play last night and the 4-9 record were the last straw.
Overall, I'm happy with the trade. We get a decent defensive wing and a versatile PF on offense that should mesh well with Towns' skillset.
With Butler gone, I hope Towns is rejuvenated. He started showing signs of it last night, but it was obvious that he and Butler weren't on the same page on and off the court.

Starting lineup should be:
Teague Wiggins Covington Saric Townes
But I guess we'll see how Thibs plays it. Something tells me that Taj will stay with the starting unit, regardless of how good Saric is.

Covington is an awesome fit on our roster and one of my favorites.
Saric isn’t a great defender, it he’s a much needed rebounder.
He shot really well from everywhere last year, but started this year in a horrific slump. He may be breaking out though. 4 made 3s in each of the past two games.
Both guys are terrific fits with KAT.

I wouldn't be surprised if they waived Bayless. But word on the street is that they're considering deals to trade Tyus. If so, Bayless would be an upgrade at the backup PG position.

What do you mean not a bad haul? IT is an awful haul for Butler. Two average to below average bench players and a 2nd round pick. Can you tell me why you think No defense Covington with a bad shot and slow footed Saric is a good haul at all?

I’m thrilled with this trade! Living in Philadelphia and having seen these two players, I am not. They are bench/role players with no upside. Both are not great at defense and sometimes Covington plays cluelessly.

I really like the trade. Finally we have one of those guys who are really underpaid on a great long contract and are here to help us win games without distractions. Saric might become a great player still.

Never expected it today. I'm glad it's over. I suppose we did as good as we could all things considered. I like Covington but not sure about Saric. Isn't he a Bjelica repeat but not as good? At least Saric might give us better rebounding inside and decent outside shooting.
Now if we can get the coach replaced and start over we'll be on our way to competing for the 8th playoff spot.
Great deal for the Sixers.

Something tells me you didn't know that he was named First Team All-NBA Defense last year.

I give this trade a C+. Covington can be that 3 and D guy we need. Saric still has potential. Hopefully we don't use him like we did Bjelica. Eh who am I kiding, Thibs is still the coach. Kinda of irked we gave up Patton. Bottom line why I don't grade it higher is because Josh Richardson + anything else is better than this trade.
